about a tinselled pine

hatched open
into xmas caterpillars
omniverous and insatiable
munching thru
contiguous communal meals
around the extended leaves
of a privileged table

distending the tracts of gut
replete and taut
facilliating the pupation
into the new year

when spread upon
delicate coloured wings
of resolution
metamorphoses flit
seeding the future
from one flower dream
to another...
