the wind is from the south today
and makes the seaside trees all sway
it blows the waves upon its way
straight past the island in the bay
it showers all the street with spray
and almost blew my hat away
the waves crashed on the beach as they
rushed up to where the seaweed lay
it's not the time to swim and play
we'll come and stay another day
